VIP GIANT ANTEATER EXPERIENCE
Here's your chance to spend some time interacting with and feeding Longleat’s enigmatic giant anteaters. They do not have any teeth, but instead have a tongue which is more than 60cm in length and a tiny 1.25mm wide, which they put to good use by eating over thirty thousand insects per day!
Did you know that giant anteaters are Category One dangerous wild animals? That means they are classified as being as dangerous as lions, tigers, bears and even hippos!

On the day
- The Giant Anteater VIP Experience is generally filled up weeks in advance. If you have a specific date in mind, please check the availability calendar above before making your purchase – availability may fluctuate depending on the time of year.
- Age: 8 Years and over. Children up to, and including, the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult who also has a VIP voucher.
- Meet at VIP Meeting Point 2, The Hub in the Main Square, 15 minutes before your tour begins.
- Your experience may be shared with other VIP guests – Maximum of 2 people
- Please note: This is not suitable for anyone with an allergy to eggs
